 "The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino opens to a brilliant ruby color and tightly focused aromas of forest berry, white almond, cola, bramble and anisette. It exhibits a stunning sense of lightness and buoyancy. Of course, that characteristic note of acidic freshness and menthol makes for a resounding finish and is testament of the enormous quality of fruit in 2010. Drink: 2014-2022. "
Score: 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: (02/2014)

Dried cherries, crushed flowers, mint, spices and cedar lift out of the glass in the 2010 Rosso di Montalcino. Sweet and layered, but also classic in its austerity and structure, the 2010 captures the essence of the house style. The 2010 should drink well pretty much upon release.
Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, vinousmedia.com, February 2014

Healthy mid ruby with the beginning of orange tinges. Wonderful compact and youthful on the nose with iron, orange clove and cherry. Succulent and poised and sleek. The acidity is a little angular on the finish. Transparent cherry fruit. Real class and elegance.
Score: 17.5/20 Walter Speller, JancisRobinson.com, April 2014

Wine Spectator: "Broad and firm, providing a solid base for the cherry, strawberry and earth notes. Austere, but should work with salumi and pasta with red sauce. Drink now through 2016.

Tasting Note: Ruby with Garnet.  Elegant nose of fern, plum and carob with balsamic notes of resin and eucalyptus.  The palate is savoury and still tense with abundant freshness and incisive tannins.  Long finish with the nose aromatics carrying through. {July 2014, Gilbert & Gaillard}
