A wonderful, elegant red wine from the exceptional wine producer- the late Gianni Brunelli that encompasses the natural elements of beautiful Montalcino.
The 2006 Brunello Riserva is Deep ruby red color. The intense aromas of notes of leather and cherry are prominent on the nose. On the palate, there is a strong, complexity with considerable tannic and acidity structure. The wine has an amazing personality of its own and is a truly remarkable Brunello from a truly remarkable producer.

Reviews:
Mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. Very elegant and serious nose underlaid by just the right amount of oak. Real depth and complexity here. Compact and young, with a muscular but fine structure. For the cellar. Wine Spectator.
Very beautiful, clean, polished, ripe and elegant. Opens with dark concentration and berry notes of cassis and candied cherry. Rum cake, leather and tobacco. Firm tannins and bright acidity. Wine Enthusiast.
"The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a beautiful wine. Powerful, taut and austere, the 2006 shows all of the qualities that make traditional Brunello compelling. Black cherries, incense, tobacco and grilled herbs wrap around the intense finish ..." 94 points. Antonio Galloni, Rober Parker’s Wine Advocate.
"Good full, bright red. Nuanced, mellow aromas of red cherry, spices, flowers, red licorice and leather. Silky and salty with extract; richer and deeper than the 2007 classico but more imploded today. The wine's subtle intensity carries through to the rather powerful finish, which spreads out nicely to coat the palate with red fruits and soil notes. Showing little in the way of easy sweetness but this really shimmers on the aftertaste." 92 points. Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar.
